engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos
provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT
solutions. The Model-Based Systems Engineer will work in a matrixed
organization at Leidos, supporting multiple programs across a
variety of engineering fields and team environment—from large-scale
prime programs such as the Hypersonics Weapons Program and IFPC Inc
2 Program, to smaller-scale efforts where Leidos provides support
as a subcontractor to top DoD contractors. The candidate will join
a diverse team of systems engineers and have the opportunity to

behavior diagrams, and requirements specifications derived from
customer need. The selected candidate will interface with program
management and design engineers to support a program’s systems
engineering needs throughout its design life cycle, including
modeling system behavior, defining the system architecture,
dictating system interfaces, performing requirements verification,
helping develop test programs, and maintaining configuration
management. The selected candidate will perform verification audits
against collected objective evidence for a compliance assessment.
The selected candidate may present the systems engineering
artifacts they have developed to the customer in formal design
reviews and may serve as a customer liaison in many of their
programs. The Model-Based Systems Engineer will lead the modeling
effort for a team of 5 Systems Engineers with varying levels of
modeling experience who will also interface with the model under
the MBSE’s guidance. The Model-Based Systems Engineer may be
expected to support customer meetings by presenting technical
material from the system model. Basic Qualifications A Bachelor’s
