Job Description Overview Perform tasks to maintain and implement safety standards, assist in the repair of equipment, and use tooling equipment to machine parts to precision dimensions. Responsibilities Performs task to maintain and implement safety standards, assist in the repair of equipment, and use tooling equipment to machine parts to precision dimensions. Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery Assist in the repair of equipment, using machinery, grinders, saws, hand tools and other shop equipment Monitor equipment and operations to meet safety standards Comply with LOTO and other Amerex conduct, safety, and environmental procedures and programs. Advise management of any deviations from this program. Follow diagrams, and drawings to produce parts to precision dimensions Adjust functional parts of devices and control Ability to safely and efficiently operate machinery associated with tool shops including but not limited to manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and heat-treating ovens. Maintain maintenance supplies by anticipating needed equipment and communicating needed supplies and irregularities Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 4 to 6 years of experience. Formal technical training or equivalent experience Excellent communication and people skills Legible handwriting, basic computer skills required. Knowledge of materials properties, machinability, and proper applications. Additional Information Working Conditions: This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics.
