Job Description Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated general production worker to operate industrial machinery and assist with the manufacturing process in a chemical plant. This role involves machine operation and handling various equipment in an industrial setting, specifically focusing on the initial stages of tungsten powder processing. Responsibilities Operate machinery and industrial equipment to process tungsten powder. Handle and transport barrels of tungsten powder to the dryer. Perform general production duties, including assembly, labor, and machine operation. Maintain a clean and organized work area despite exposure to black powder residue. Adhere to safety protocols while performing physically demanding tasks. Participate in a two-week training program, including one week at a training facility and one week on-site. Essential Skills Experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment. Proficiency in using hand tools and operating machinery. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. High School Diploma or GED is required. Strong work history and reliability. Additional Skills & Qualifications is preferred. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Capability to perform under hot temperatures exceeding 120&degree;F. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a non-climate-controlled, physically demanding environment with exposure to high temperatures and black powder residue. The position involves 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with significant manual labor and exposure to industrial elements such as ammonia smells and high-temperature furnaces. Employees must be prepared for a dirty and challenging setting but will receive extensive training to ensure safety and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
