Job OverviewWe are looking to fill an Intern - Project &
Component Engineering role for Summer 2024 at our Huntsville, AL
site.This posting may represent one or more specific immediate or

our third facility in the Huntsville area, a 379,000 sq.ft.
manufacturing facility near the Huntsville airport that will
specialize in the production and assembly of inert solid rocket

Advanced Manufacturing Facility in north Huntsville, where we

training, interns will perform entry-level engineering tasks on
projects.Interns will support senior engineering staff and gain
experience and familiarization with company projects.Interns must
be able to operate effectively in a team environment.Summer
internships will start in approximately May/June and end in
August/September.Projects may focus on aspects of project and
component engineering including assisting in the design and
development of hardware and providing technical support to
engineers within such areas as small thrusters, valves & actuators,
and systems hardware.RequirementsCandidate must be currently
enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in
Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (or similar major)
and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.Preferred
Qualifications3.2 GPA or aboveJunior standing or aboveSolid
academic track record of accomplishmentWorking knowledge of
Microsoft Software applicationsExcellent communication and
problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work with
little directionLeadership & teamwork skillsRequires U.S.
Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy
federal government requirements for access to government
information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from
being able to meet this requirement.Work Environment/Physical
Requirements:Employees in these positions must possess mobility to
work in a standard office setting and to use standard office
equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and
maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may
occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require
occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending;
and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and
hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the
use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety
shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work
varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of
activities in the organization.
