the Power Electronics and Controls.Do you enjoy power converter

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and
test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard
power conversion topologies (linear, buck, boost, buck-boost),
input and output filtering, analog circuits such as amplifiers,
load switches, power on sequence circuits.
Design to requirements to meet system needs.
Work with technical subject matter experts to derive performance
requirements.
Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB
layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.
Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule.
Test performance of designs compared to requirements and analysis
results.
Generate design artifacts/documentation regarding analysis and
hardware performance.
Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and
technical staff.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
(STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience
Experience with any of the following: Power supply design, buck
converter, boost converter, flyback and/or linear regulator SEPIC
of other power conversion topology
Experience with design, analysis and/or test of the following:
design/analysis of analog electronics or op amp circuits or MOSFETs
or transistors
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S.
citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a
security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
Design, analysis, and/or test experience with any of the following
isolated converter topologies: flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge,
and/or push-pull. Design scope will ideally include stability.
Experience with performing circuit card assembly-level power
architecture trades, and/or with system-level power architecture
trades, including power converter specification development
experience.
Experience designing motor drivers.
Professional experience guiding Electronic Computer-Aided Design
(ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and
technical drawing creation (direct experience with such tools is
adequate to fulfill this requirement).
Familiarity with circuit simulator SIMPLIS and/or analysis tool
Mathcad.
Experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx.
Experience with acting as a liaison between program and functional
management.
Experience with digital power control.
Experience with military specifications.
Experience with transformer and inductor design considerations.
Design experience with Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI)
concerns.
Design experience with voltages > 400V and/or power >
10kW.
Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value.
Experience with proposal development.
Ability to design to meet concerns of adjacent disciplines, such as
thermal, structural, mechanical, reliability, and quality.
Ability to be a self-starter and be able to function in a dynamic
environment.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and time
management skills.
