All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:The Enduring BLACK HAWK Chief Engineer will be responsible for all technical activities relating to maturing the BLACK HAWK future product strategy, maintaining/executing the product roadmap and driving business growth. Additionally, the role will support coordination of proposals, business plans, and statements of work for all enduring BLACK HAWK related projects. The prime focus for the Enduring BLACK HAWK Chief Engineer will be leading technical performance, cost and schedule objectives to implement the organizations desire to design, build and fly an Enduring BLACK HAWK Demonstrator aircraft. In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for executing all aspects of the Improved Turbine Engine (ITE) Integration program, which is the first funded effort of the Enduring BLACK HAWK.The Enduring BLACK HAWK Chief Engineer must have the experience and possess skills to perform the following:--- Leading a cross functional design and manufacturing engineering team.--- Develop and execute plans for key engineering deliverables (drawings, tooling, etc.) along with corresponding metrics.--- Management of and interaction with internal and external suppliers critical to execution of the programs.--- Interface with various functional disciplines including program management, supply chain management, finance, contracts, operations, supportability, and quality.--- Effective presentation to key internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership.--- Management of BLACK HAWK IR&D and Capital budgets.--- Application and development of digital transformation initiatives on Enduring BLACK HAWK development.--- Has experience with preliminary / conceptual design.--- Understands how to use system engineering processes to determine the optimum helicopter and mission system configuration to meet customer requirements.--- Has a proven ability to develop relationships with SAC Business Development and the customer on new helicopter programs.Basic Qualifications:--- BS in engineering or related technical field--- 15+ years of rotorcraft system design engineering experience--- Strong leadership skills--- Strong communication and presentation skills--- Strong technical problem solving ability--- Strong interpersonal skills--- Self-starter--- Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearanceDesired Skills:--- Masters Degree (engineering and/or MBA) desired, BS engineering required--- 8-10 years experience in leading cross functional IPTs, specially air-vehicle and avionics, and managing aircraft product development from requirements through design, build, test, and acceptance--- Experience working with the USG customers.--- Experience in technology development / transition projects (TRL 5 and higher)--- Working knowledge of project management tools ( Primavera, Earned Value Management Systems)--- Secret clearance preferredBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
