Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Systems
Engineer 3 or 4 to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The qualified
applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's IBCS Systems
Engineering and Integration team. The team supports Reliability
Availability Maintainability (RAM) of the IBCS system.
The Staff Engineer Systems will provide support for the Specialty
Engineering team with primarily RAM tasks. This task requires
analytical skills with documented results, therefore written
communication skills are very important for this team. This
assignment also includes interfacing across multiple IPTs and
interfacing with the customer.
The primary role of this position includes working as part of a
team: planning, analyzing, estimating, RAM modeling & simulations
and reporting to all levels from peers to senior decision makers on
the system's RAM performance. The candidate must interface with:
system architecture design teams to provide feedback on design
reliability; operations and support organizations to aid in
optimizing logistics support resources; and senior leadership to
characterize expected system performance relative to requirements.
The performance of these tasks will identify deficiencies of, and
potential improvements to the existing IBCS system design relative
to expected capabilities and requirements.
