history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a
Test Engineer with experience to join our dynamic and diverse team
environment in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will be
responsible for creating and executing test methods, detailing test
progress and status, reporting test results, adapting test methods
and compensating as needed to adjust for evolving
conditions.Essential Functions:
- Work in a technical team environment characterized by
frequently changing tasks, new priorities requiring quick
responses
- Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish test and project
results with limited oversight and direction
- Estimate testing to be done and acquire necessary resources to
complete in a timely manner
- Collaborate and communicate openly and effectively with
teammates and customer representativesBasic Qualifications:
- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or
Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 2 years of
engineering experience
- Master's degree in a STEM discipline
- Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret
security clearance
- Must be willing to travel, possibly up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, AlabamaPreferred
Qualifications:
- Experience creating and documenting test plans/procedures,
analyzing results and creating reports
- Strong understanding of general system engineering
principles
- Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies and Scrum
- Experience testing software for performance and functionality
based on requirement specifications and the ability to identify and
document exact sequence of activities
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with
technical teams and customer personnel
- Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions
based on limited direction and definition
- Experience with Automated Testing (especially with Eggplant)
Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD Employees may be eligible
for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses
are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
