Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Test
Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will
support the Sentinel - Ground Based Strategic Deterrence (GBSD)
program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance
What You'll Get To Do:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for
testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test
area with parameters for testing and specifies tests to be
performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing
equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new
testing requirements. Responsible for testing all new SW builds and
LRU's, and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test
--- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex
--- Meet with the Lab Operations and Systems Engineering
Integration team to determine product
--- Write product test plans, procedures and create test cases.
--- Troubleshoot errors and provide technical solutions to a wide
range of complex difficult problems.
--- Ensure all tests and procedures meet the product
--- Prepare test reports for management team.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule
allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday
to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years
with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in
lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded
within the past 5 years)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
US Citizenship with an Active Top Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 5 years)
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II (Security + or higher) or must obtain
within 90 days of reporting.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical
approaches and findings
- Comfortable with loosely-defined problems, have a demonstrated
ability to think creatively, and draw upon a variety of sources for
ideas and solutions."
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or
- Command line and GUI experience with Git (Bitbucket preferred,
- In-depth experience with Ansible - writing YAML (playbooks,
roles, etc), configuring systems at run time, and
- Python and shell scripting ability
- Experience configuring and maintaining VMware vSphere 7,
preferably API-based interactions using Ansible.
- Self-starter, with a proven ability to troubleshoot issues in a
timely and accurate manner.
- Basic understanding of IPv4 networking fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of information assurance principles in the
Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $125,800 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
