Job Description:

An employer is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Huntsville, AL. This resource will be joining a talented, experienced engineer to lead and perform design and testing of custom high-voltage power electronic systems using conventional and advanced wide bandgap components. Systems could include power converters and motor controllers/drives. Efforts can also include low power analog and digital electronic boards for a wide variety of applications across the company. Candidate will need to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, communicating customer requirements, and support internal and customer status meetings. Candidate will need to be comfortable communicating technical plans and status to various stakeholders, including customers and partners. This resource will be designing and working with PCB and other schematic designs, circuit designs that are related to electronic speed controllers for hypersonic devices. Youll be working in a team and independently to ensure these designs are properly created. Youll also be communicating with various stakeholders and will need to be comfortable informing them about the design and progress.Active DOD Secret ClearanceMaster's Degree Circuit Modeling and simulation experienceDesigning power circuitry and hands0on testing high power devicesBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or (STEM)US Citizen w/ ability to obtain a Secret Clearance3+ years of electrical design experience Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design experience Documentation experience
