The assignment may include one or more projects including hand layup, fiber placement, assembly, machining, painting, and structural testing of composite parts. Iuka currently produces structures for Atlas, Delta, Antares, F-35 and other high end related parts. Some of our work requires Secret Clearance. Our Iuka facility employs about 200 people across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Support Services. The work we do impacts our national security and supports human space exploration. Come join us and be a part of a rich tradition of aerospace innovation!Responsibilities include the following:Support manufacturing of composite structuresResolve production issues in processes by working closely with manufacturing personnelSupport root cause and corrective actionAuthor, modify, and audit proceduresBe part of an Integrated Product TeamOur teams are broken out by program and product families. Note: an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Ability to read engineering drawings and specificationsProblem solving experienceFamiliarity of process engineering or manufacturing engineeringAbility to obtain a Secret clearance and Special Program AccessEngineerBachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field and 2+ years of engineering work experience, or a Masters degree in a STEM field. Note: an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Ability to read engineering drawings and specificationsProblem solving experienceFamiliarity of process engineering or manufacturing engineeringAbility to obtain a Secret clearance and Special Program AccessPreferred Qualifications:Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Familiarity of composite manufacturing techniquesAbility to author, modify and audit work proceduresAble to navigate Catia V5 and NXSecret clearance and Special Program AccessSalary Range: 49800 - 74600Salary Range 2: 60800 - 91200Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
