Dynetics, a wholly ownded subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with relevant coursework or experience in the mechanical design of systems and components using 3D CAD software in support of Radar Design And Simulator projects for the Defense Intelligence Community (IC), Air Force, and other large prime contractors.-Candidate will be responsible for applying sound mechanical engineering & design principles in the development of machined, structural, sheet metal, & plastic component parts.-Candidate will be responsible for Bill of Material development and component specification for mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies as well as applying engineering design processes, such as design for manufacturing, drawing production, & PDM/PLM/configuration management, to the integration and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.-Candidate will work closely with Electrical/Electronics/RF Engineers designing, integrating, and testing highly specialized RF systems, RF subsystems, and advanced phased array technologies. Candidate will further assist in performing first-order thermal and structural analysis of aforementioned technologies. IND3 Basic Qualifications -Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineeirng Technology-Candidate must have experience with CAD software and 3D Modeling.-Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the North Alabama area. Other Qualifications * Technical experience of 3-5 years is preferred, but not required.* Experience with SOLIDWORKS CAD is preferred, but not required.* Knowledge of or experience in RF systems, electro-mechanical design and layout, or electronics mechanical packaging is a plus. Security Requirements Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
