high-quality early childhood education. Our Summer Day Care Program
provides a safe, engaging learning environment for our youngest
learners. Position Type: Seasonal (Summer Program) Hourly Rate:
Starting at $15/hour Program Dates: June 1 – July 19, 2026 Village
of Promise is seeking a patient, nurturing Auxiliary (Assistant
Teacher) to support our Infant Classroom during the Summer Day Care
Program. This role supports the lead teacher in creating a safe,
calm, and developmentally supportive environment for our youngest
learners, ages 6 weeks to 18 months. Essential Duties: Assist with
bottle feeding, diapering, and individual infant care Support safe
sleep practices and crib transitions Engage infants through gentle
sensory play, music, and early language interaction Maintain a
clean, sanitized environment following DHR safety guidelines Help
monitor infants’ cues and needs throughout the day
Eligibility/Qualifications: 18 years or older Valid driver’s
license or state ID Must pass DHR suitability background check Must
complete required Health & Safety Training before start date
Comfort and confidence working with infants Eligibility to pass a
background check and drug test Physically capable of lifting
children up to 30 pounds and in physical condition to appropriately
care for the students. Eligible to work in the United States
(E-Verify) Program Requirements: All paperwork must be completed by
May 21, 2026 Required orientation/training provided prior to June 1
Please note: The program will observe two holidays occurring within
the Summer Day Care timeframe. Staff will receive these days off,
unpaid.
