School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do

Trussville, AL, this K-12 school psychologist role offers a
contract position for the current school year (CSY) focused on
supporting students within an educational setting. The primary
responsibilities involve conducting thorough psychological
evaluations to identify learning, emotional, or behavioral
challenges and collaborating with educators, families, and
multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans
(IEPs) that help students succeed. Key Responsibilities: Screen
students for disabilities and provide counseling support.
Administer and score a comprehensive battery of psychological and
neuropsychological assessments. Evaluate students based on
referrals from teachers and school administrators. Conduct detailed
student history interviews covering educational, social, and
medical backgrounds. Observe students in their typical school
environment to gather behavioral data. Compile and document
findings into detailed psychological reports for school records.
Respond to legal evaluation requests with thorough written
documentation. Support IEP development and implementation through
team collaboration. Identify testing challenges and ensure
evaluations are completed within required timelines. Assist with
research through data collection and preliminary analysis related
to psychometric testing. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Expertise in administering and interpreting psychological
assessments within school settings. Knowledge of IEP development
and special education laws. Strong skills in counseling,
interviewing, observation, and report writing. Ability to manage
multiple evaluations while maintaining careful documentation.
Experience collaborating with educators, families, and
multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with psychometric research
protocols is a plus. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational
skills. Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week, contract
