Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for Principal Engineer Test (multiple positions) to join the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit in Huntsville, AL.The selected candidates will design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment. The selected candidates will plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. The selected candidates will provide test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Selected individuals will compile data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. The selected candidates will be responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. The selected individuals must have the ability frequently use and apply technical standards, principles, theories and concepts to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned. The impact of the selected candidates will contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific project effort. Selected candidates will have moderate inter-organizational and outside customer contact on routine matters.Basic Qualifications:Principal level: 9 Years of related experience with high school diploma; 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.Senior Principal level: 13 years of related experience with a high school diploma; 9 Years with Bachelors, 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.Active Secret Security Clearance is required - U.S. Citizenship is requiredAbility to travel is requiredSecurity+ and/or Linux+ CertificationPreferred Qualifications:--- Demonstrated skills performing moderately complex test related tasks.--- Prior experience successfully performing test activities.--- Prior experience integrating Software and System components.--- Working knowledge and/or test experience with Army Air and Missile Defense Systems--- Prior automated test experience.Salary Range: $86,000 USD - $129,000 USDSalary Range 2: $107,000 USD - $160,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
