Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal/Sr.
Principal Human Factors Engineer to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals. This position is located in Huntsville,
AL.Position Overview:
- Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and
technologies to the design of human-machine systems and
products.
- Develops and implements research methodologies and statistical
analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes used
in new products and processes, such as cockpit designs, user
workstations, and computerized human models.
- Interfaces with design engineers to establish system design,
operating, and training requirements and to ensure optimized
human-machine interfaces.
- Identifies and analyzes technological problems or risks,
performs theoretical human factors investigations, and develops and
implements research and analysis plans.Basic qualifications:
- 5 years experience with a Bachelors degree; 3 years experience
with a Masters' degree or 0 years experience with a PhD in
Engineering, psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic
design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited
university.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or higher awarded or reviewed
in the last 6 years
- Demonstrated experience utilizing UI/UX design principles
- Experience in Human Factors Engineering/Human Systems
Integration with a specialization in software (UX, human computer
interaction)
- Experience with Human Factors in a defense contracting
environment (familiarity with Mil-Std-1472G and ANSI/HFES
100-2007), DoD UI/UX Design Experience
- Experience in fast-paced work environment and ability to work
in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to
present to segment, program and customer community
- Ability to solve problems, analyze test results, drive tasks to
completionPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience with visual design of computer user interfaces
- Degree in Psychology or similar social sciences
- Human Factors modeling in NX/Jack, IMPRINT familiarity
- Axure wireframing/prototyping software experience
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
- Experience on an Agile Software Development Team experience
Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD Salary Range 2: $114,300
USD - $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
