Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal / Senior Principal
Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL or Roy,
UT and will support Advance programs. This role may offer a
competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be
filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.What
you'll get to do:The Advanced Programs Sr. Principal/Principal
Engineer RF Microwave Design will support Advanced Programs
projects in a variety of RF and systems engineering
projectsResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Contribute
to the design of RF subsystem for various projects within Advanced
ProgramsGenerate requirements from a defined CONOPS at the
system-level down to the subsystem-levelProduce architecture models
in CameoVerify systems against requirementsAssist team members in
system and subsystem-level testingWork within a team to mature
technological capabilities and develop prototype designsAs a

- Employee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a
9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll Bring
These Qualifications:
- Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET
accredited university; 5 years of experience performing in a
Systems Engineering or related technical discipline; 3 years with a
Master's degree
- Senior Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET
accredited university; 9 years of experience performing in a
Systems Engineering or related technical discipline; or 7 years of
experience with a Masters
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to effectively communicate and present complex
technical concepts to project, program, and company management,
other technical managers, and customers.
- Excellent team building skills and ability to complete tasking
with minimal direction.
- Experience in performance of trade studies to identify
components that meet system and subsystem requirements.
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience, including system
architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML.
- Demonstrated experience in radio-frequency (RF) and
antennas.These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Current active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- RF system architecture development (to include modems,
transmitters, receivers, and amplifiers)
- Antenna RF system requirements generation/flowdown
- Antenna RF Payload level system performance verification,
including flight technology demonstrators, and programs of
record.
- Understanding of highly-integrated antenna systems, antenna/RF
system cascade performance analysis, digital electronics
(ASICs/FPGAs), power electronics, systems engineering, and
measurement data post-processing/reduction.
- Tool experience with ADS, STK, and MATLAB.
- Experience with encryption, COMSEC and MIL-STD-810G. Salary
Range: $87,600 USD - $138,400 USD Salary Range 2: $108,600 USD -
$171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
