Job Description Job Description Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant Location: Oregon City, OR Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Fully Onsite Salary: $32-$40 an hour DOE We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial insights. This is a contract role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting accuracy. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance Perform and review complex account reconciliations Lead month-end and year-end closing activities Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 2 years of relevant accounting experience, including staff/senior-level responsibility in a construction environment Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership abilities Benefits: Benefits vary depending on employer.
