Job Description:
Job Summary:The Financial Business Controller for HPS North
America, LLC is responsible for overseeing and managing the
financial business operations of the Company. This high-level
professional leads the Accounting Team regarding all financial and
accounting activities and interacts with Executive Management to
support strategic decision-making and improve business performance.
The primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining
financial reporting systems, analyzing financial data and trends,
and providing strategic recommendations to senior management. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and
accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to
communicate financial information to non-financial
stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership and
ManagementManage and mentor accounting team members, assisting with
projects, tasks, and general workload as needed;display positive
company leadership, communication, and interpersonal and customer
service skills;lead financial planning and analysis initiatives and
oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the
organization;contribute to team effort by participating in customer
training, weekly regional sales calls, monthly company-wide sales
calls, and sales meetings organization;partner with senior
management to provide financial insights and recommendations to
ensure financial targets are met;collaborate with key stakeholders
across the organization to provide financial insights and support
decision-making.Financial ReportingDevelop and maintain financial
models and forecasts to support business decision-making;analyze
financial data, including budgets, income statements, balance
sheets, and cash flow statements;prepare and present financial
reports to Executive Management and other stakeholders;ensure that
all financial statements and reports are accurate, timely, and in
compliance with accounting standards and regulations;communicate
with distributor customers to ensure proper data is submitted for
monthly processing;oversee the distribution of monthly reports to
sales representatives and promptly address and resolve reporting
discrepancies;iterate commission reporting structure as needed to
ensure transparency for the sales team.Financial Policies and
ControlsDevelop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and
controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial
information;Identify opportunities to improve financial performance
and develop plans to implement changes;maintain and manage
multi-entity company records including budget evaluation, risk
management, and preparation of financial statements, reports, and
records;supervise the Company sales commission and expense
reimbursement programs;provide oversight and management of all
Company assets;manage all financial analyses, internal controls,
revenue forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and
financial reporting.Qualifications/Requirements:Possess a strong
understanding of financial statements and financial analysis
techniques;exhibit an understanding of developing and maintaining
financial models, sales forecasting, and budgets;comprehend the
processes involved with figuring exchange rates, managing freight
costs, deciphering legal agreements, and settling claims;acquire
and maintain knowledge of company products, as well as competitive
awareness, and broad knowledge of the flooring industry;demonstrate
the motivation to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced,
changing market demonstrating excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills;keys to this role include strong emotional
intelligence, excellent verbal and written communication skills,
detail-oriented, and building
relationships.Education/Experience:BS/BA degree or higher in
finance, accounting, or a related field is required. 6-10 years of
business accounting, business controlling, and financial analysis
experience is necessary. 3-5 years of supervisory experience is
highly preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
including Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Physical
Demands:The physical requirements of this position involve light
work where the worker sits most of the time. Physical demands
include occasional stooping and standing; frequent reaching,
walking, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motion; continuous
talking, hearing, fingering/handling, and close visual acuity.Work
Location/Environmental Condition:This position is based at the
Florence Support Center in Florence, Alabama. The conditions are
that of typical office work and the worker is not substantially
