The selected individual will provide thermal engineering system requirement support for the analysis of spacecraft andspace-based instruments. The position will entail performing reviews and oversight of complex aero-space craft, spacebasedinstruments, and landing components. Provide system functional design and integration support for space hardwareinterfaces, through the development of the integrated element architecture through appropriate controlling documents anddeliverables.Perform technical integration across NASA centers, diverse engineering and program organizations, and a variety ofengineering disciplines. Assist in the development strategic plans and negotiate resolution of open requirement andthermal issues and concerns to ensure closure of TBDs, TBRs, etc. within the corresponding organizational scheduleallowance.Supply inputs to key systems engineering products for milestones and provide technical insight for these reviews andevents. Assist in technical evaluations of verification closure data and rationale. Support the development and review ofkey thermal system engineering products for project milestones as well as the maturation of these products.This position provides leadership in support of various NASA Space System projects such as:- Human Landing System (HLS) to deliver American astronauts - the first woman and next man on the Moon's southpole- The International Space Station (ISS) environmental variables controlsJob Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering or a degree in a related technical discipline synergistic withsystem design is required. Degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred.
